|What is Orange Helpers?|
In April/May 2008 a group of people from Vietnam, the United States, and Australia participated in the Orange Walk, walking from Ho Chi Minh city to Hanoi over a period of 57 days. The purpose was to visit and publicize the situation of Agent Orange victims who live at home, rather than in the excellent treatment centers in the major cities. During that walk, we witnessed the poverty and desperation of many of these families, as well as their strength and love.
In the aftermath of the walk, two of the participants, Bob Schuessler and Phan Thi Truyen (nickname Salem), decided to form an NGO called Orangehelpers, to work with the victims of Agent Orange and their families.
